Commissioner of Education to retire in August
David P. Driscollannounced today that he will retire on August 31, 2007 as the Commissioner of Education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, a position he has held for eight years. A former mathematics teacher and Superintendent of Schools, Commissioner Driscoll began his career in public education 43 years ago.
